A late morning in October

Here are some photos I took of this gorgeous morning here in the village. I was out walking Ralph and came home specially to get the camera to record the morning. Yesterday was very misty, damp, cold and grey when we were out walking. Today - glorious.

The days start quite chilly, but by about 2pm it can be up to around 15-18 degrees only for a short while before the sun goes behind the hill again.

They were taken from the other end of the village on the bridge near the bar, back towards the house.

The photos really don't to it justice. It was beautiful out there. Anyway back to the painting.

Apple Picking

We took Annika to Frootogo Apple Orchard last Friday - she loves it there!

"Woof woof" said Annika to the goat

She LOVED the bunnies!

You can imagine how easy it was to get this shot!

This lasted a little while...and then she realized she could climb out...

I know you can't really see her in this one - I just love how the photo came out!

Thanksgiving

Annika did a face-plant into the gravel on Saturday morning, so she had a scab on her face all weekend. Poor kid!

And then she slept for the rest of the walk

Annika was mesmerized every time Uncle Jay played the mandolin!

Blane got lots of extra 'love' this weekend...doesn't he look thrilled?

Happy Annika

Here's a short (not really) clip of Annika in one of her better moods. We find this fascinating... perhaps others aren't so thrilled. Make sure the sound is on so you can hear her having one of her chats with us.

Ok, the clip is pretty big... we've uploaded it to youtube.

Living in a Construction Zone

So much to do to get this place on the market...

The kitchen cabinets have been primed (thanks Mom!), but they still need to be painted, and so do the walls...

All this kitchen stuff needs to be sorted and packed away...

Basement needs to be plastered, sanded, primed and painted...

The third bedroom in the basement needs to be drywalled, plastered, sanded, primed and painted...

But Annika's not losing any sleep over it!
